Weight loss is one of the most common reasons people come to us for hypnosis. So many of us are unhappy with our weight and body image. We have tried diets and exercise, often trying very unhealthy and even unsafe techniques to reach that dream weight. But when we can’t reach it quick enough, or even at all – or when we lose weight but quickly put it back on again, it’s time to try something different.

Your overeating is not the problem. It is merely a symptom of the problem. The problem is in how you view yourself. How you view yourself is what causes you to overeat, or eat the wrong foods. While most hypnotherapists will talk about changing your relationship with food, we know that first and foremost you need to change your relationship with yourself.

This includes how you see yourself, what you say to yourself, what happens when you look in the mirror, what you really believe you deserve. Once you update how you view yourself and increase your own self esteem, you are far more likely to WANT to make the changes that will help you lose weight.

There’s a good chance if you’re reading this that you don’t feel great about yourself. And if you don’t feel great about yourself, how can you ever be bothered to make the changes you need to lose weight? You’ve probably tried everything under the sun to lose weight. You’ve been on every diet and taken every pill. And you’re still overweight.

That’s not because you can’t get to the size you want to be, it’s because you don’t believe you can. You may not even think you deserve it. Maybe you look in the mirror and hate what you see? Or perhaps you don’t even look in the mirror anymore. Have you ever avoided going out because of how you look? This means it is hurting your confidence, your self-esteem and self-image. This is what keeps you locked in an overweight body.

If you’re stuck in a low opinion of yourself, you won’t be as motivated to change. You may not even feel that you deserve it. This is the first thing that has to change. Those food habits that caused you to become overweight will become unacceptable to the new you. This means the struggle will finally be over.
